The 12m opened mouth Shishi-dono is a powerful sight.
Every start of the new year, a purification rite for natural disasters, misfortunes, and sickness is held. A prayer to the elements are sent, and the Tsunahiki Shinji (tug or war in Shrine) are also held in the grounds.
