Japan's largest railway museum that still operates steam locomotives (SL) every day.

The museum is incredibly popular with both children and railway fans alike, where one can view the locomotives up-close, as well as experience driving simulations of the engines themselves.
The most enjoyable part of the museum is getting to ride on a real-life steam locomotive.
We recommend a viewing of the JR Kyoto station after visiting the sky deck during particularly sunny weather.
