A prosperous shrine famous for the Toka Ebisu Festival.
It is otherwise known to the people of Kansai as "Ebes-san", or "Mr. Ebe".
Prayers are made with offers of money and plenty of enthusiasm - bow twice, clap twice, and bow again. It is said that it's the two loud and hearty claps that will bring good favour your way.
October 11th sees the shrine very busy with events involving actresses and Maiko Geishas. During the festival period, you can enjoy an abundance of street stalls with standing bars for eating and drinking.
