A highly regarded temple that measures 10,000 units of the traditional "tsubo" measurement (around 3.31 square meters), situated in an area that is rich with nature.
The five camphor trees are designated natural monuments of Kyoto city, that stand in a landscape famous for it's radiant fall hues and beautiful cherry blossoms.
Visits after the sun sets are highlighted with illuminations during the spring and fall, giving an altogether different and dazzling atmosphere from the daytime.
