Sakai City, located in the south of Osaka City, an area that flourished as a trading center in the old days and still retains many crafts and culture.
This tour will bring you in touch with history, including ancient burial mounds registered as a World Heritage site.

This tour traverses downtown Osaka City by streetcar and visits Sumiyoshi Taisha, the head shrine of Sumiyoshi Shrines throughout Japan.
Lunch will be enjoyed at Harvest Hill in Sakai City with craft beer and homemade ham.
You will learn about the World Heritage Site of Emperor Nintoku's Mausoleum and its history at the Sakai City Museum.

Sumiyoshi Taisha Shrine, which is reached by Osaka's only streetcar!

Osaka Sumiyoshi Taisha is the head shrine of more than 2,300 Sumiyoshi shrines in Japan.
To get there, take the Hankai Line, Osaka's only streetcar, through the downtown area.
Within the grounds of Sumiyoshi Taisha are buildings and cultural assets that have been carefully preserved as national treasures and important cultural properties.
The vermilion Taiko-bashi (drum bridge) on the approach to the main shrine is very famous and has been loved by the local people for a long time,

Departure policy

  • Please present your booking confirmation e-mail to the Tour Conductor at the pick-up point.
  • Please be at the pick-up point 15 minutes before departure.
  • Change of pick-up/drop-off locations are not allowed.
  • The vehicle will depart on-time, please arrive before departure time.
  • We may occur delays due to bad traffic, accidents on roads, or severe weather etc. We will not be liable to later costs of taxis and/or train fares etc for passengers.
  • Please understand we will not be liable for your other bookings (cars, private vehicles, ferry, public transport, etc) due to delays occurred while on tour.

In the bus

  • The vehicle has no luggage compartment, please avoid bringing large luggage on board the vehicle.
  • The vehicle has no toilets.
  • There is no smoking allowed on board the vehicle.

  • Please refrain from over consuming alcohol. Overly intoxicated passengers may be asked to disembark without compensations.
